Artists' Profile

sayaka SAYAKA MATSUMOTO was born in Tokyo in 1979 and started
learning the piano at the age of 3. Sayaka has won many prizes in
major Japanese piano competitions, including First Prize in the All
Japan Student Music Competition and First Prize in the 20th PTNA
Piano Competition Concerto Division. She has also performed with
various Japanese orchestras. Between 1998 and 2004, Sayaka studied
the Soloist Diploma Course, the highest course of the Toho Gakuen
School of Music in Tokyo, and received the Piano Soloist Diploma
-the first time this had ever been awarded in the history of Toho
Gakuen. Concurrently, she also studied clinical psychology at the
International Christian University (ICU) and received a BA degree. In
2005 Sayaka moved to London to study with Christopher Elton. In
June 2006 she completed the Postgraduate Performance Diploma
Course of the Royal Academy of Music and received the Vice
Principal's Special Award for her final recital and was awarded the
DipRAM, the Academy's "Premier Prix". Sayaka has also composed a
series of original pieces for her debut CD, which is scheduled for
release in spring 2010.
naoko NAOKO TOGAWA PhD in Music and Singing at the Kunitachi
University and at the Arts University of Tokyo. She graduated at the
School of Practical Teaching of Music of Tokyo (Nikikai) and enriched
his skills taking part to International Music Programmes at Munich,
Prag and Warsaw. She has sung in Opera Recitals in Japan and in
Operas of Mozart, Verdi and Puccini. Last concerts: at the Basilica of
Santa Maria degli Angeli (Rome, 21/09/2008); Lyrical Recital at the
Church St. Martin within Ludgate, (London, 19/04/2009), Concert at
the Bösendorfer Saal /Vienna, 21/11/2009). She lives in Italy where she
has specialized under the supervision of many masters and singers,
among them the pianist Stefano Grassoni the basso Carlo Desideri. In
Rome she sings in the “Madama Butterfly” at the Flaiano Theater.
Member of the “AMICIZIA INTERNAZIONALE DEGLI ARTISTI”;
association of artists from all over the world, whose goal is to organize
concerts and other activities in the artistic Field.
stefano STEFANO GRASSONI
Graduated at the Conservatorio “G. Rossini” of Pesaro with the higest
marks, under the supervision of the Masters Margherita Traversa and
Lamberto Luigi. He has done concerts at the Santa Cecilia Academy in
Rome. As professional accompanist worked with R. Kabaivanska, K.
Ricciarelli, E. Obraztsova, F. Cossotto, V. Esposito. He has taken part
to many Musical Events like the International Competition of Singing
dedicated to G. Spontini,the International Competition of Chamber
Music “Città di Gravina in Puglia”, he has held concert at Italian
Embassies abroad. He has a long experience as master of Chorus in
many Opera Productions.
